END TO LOCKDOWN AND EXCEPTIONAL SEARCH KINGSTON PENITENTIARY

Kingston, Ontario, December 2, 2011 – The lockdown at Kingston Penitentiary initiated November 25, has concluded. 

The institution is operating on weekend routine.

Regular visits have resumed.

The Correctional Service of Canada works to ensure the continued safety and security to the public, staff and inmates.
