FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESCAPE AND RECAPTURE FROM FRONTENAC INSTITUTION

Kingston, Ontario, December 27, 2011  - On December 26, 2011, at approximately 1:45 pm, inmate Clifford Ejimamu was observed by a Frontenac Institution staff member walking approximately 400 meters off the institutional property. The inmate was immediately recaptured by staff and transferred to a higher security facility.

Ejimamu is serving a 2 year and 2 month sentence for Import/Export of Drugs.

CSC will be conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
