FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ABBOTSFORD, B.C., January 20, 2004 - An inmate died of natural causes in the institutional hospital at the Regional Treatment Centre on January 16, 2004.

Ronald Milson, 50, was pronounced dead in the institution.

He was serving an indeterminate sentence as a dangerous dffender for sex-related offences. His sentence commenced March 22, 1979.

The coroner and police were notified and attended the institution.

Next of kin have been notified.

The Pacific Institution and Regional Treatment Centre are co-located in Abbotsford. The multi-level security facility includes a 19 bed-medical hospital, 96-bed psychiatric hospital, 96-bed program unit and a 96-bed Regional Reception and Assessment Centre.
