FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AGASSIZ, BC, April 21, 2004 - During the morning shift today, a number of bullets and parts of two potential homemade guns were found in a building inside Mountain Institution. The institution has been locked down to facilitate a thorough search of the facility.

Visits have been suspended until further notice.

Mountain Institution is a medium security facility operated by the Correctional Service of Canada. It is located in Agassiz and currently houses 463 male inmates.
