FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESCAPE FROM FERNDALE INSTITUTION

MISSION, B.C., October 7, 2004 - Federal offender William Robinson was noticed missing from Ferndale Institution during the midnight count last night (October 6).

The offender is a 42-year-old Caucasian male weighing 79 Kg (175 lbs.) and stands 180 cm (5' 11") tall. He has brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion.

He is serving a three-year and 10-month sentence for robbery, uttering threats, and failure to comply. His sentenced commenced September 23, 2003.

He was eligible for unescorted temporary absence May 13, 2004, and day parole July 1, 2004. His full parole eligibility date is January 1, 2005. His warrant expiry date is July 2, 2007.

Ferndale Institution is a minimum-security institution located in Mission.
