MISSION, BC, March 21, 2005 -Inmates at Mission Institution are holding a summer Arts and Crafts show and sale for the general public on June 3. This free event will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Many different works will be on display, such as oil and water colour paintings, wood carvings, stained glass work and other ornamental works including Aboriginal art work, cedar boxes and chests.
Anyone wishing to attend the show should contact Mission institution at (604) 826-1231 and ask for the Social Programs office to receive a site clearance form for completion, or can pick up the form at the principal entrance and return it to the institution.
All members of the public must have their site clearance forms completed and approved by May 20.
Medium-security Mission Institution is operated by the Correctional Service of Canada. It is located in Mission BC and it has a population of 267 inmates.
