FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ABBOTSFORD, BC, June 23, 2005 - In response to media requests for a statement or interview, Dr. Arthur Gordon, Executive Director of the Regional Treatment Centre will be available for a press conference at approximately 2:00 pm today at the Regional Treatment Centre in Abbotsford.

Please contact the undersigned to confirm your attendance, along with the names of the attendees and the type of equipment they will need to bring to the institution. For those outlets that have asked for a statement or interview via telephone, please contact the undersigned with the name and telephone number and Dr. Gordon will make these calls some time after the press conference.

The Regional Treatment Centre and Pacific Institution are co-located at 33344 King Road in Abbotsford. The facility includes a 19-bed medical hospital, 96-bed psychiatric hospital, 96-bed rehabilitation unit, a 96-bed Regional Reception/Assessment Centre, and a 127-bed high intensity program unit.
