FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MEDIA REPORT IS INACCURATE
VERNON, BC, October 19, 2005 - The Correctional Service of Canada wants to clarify inaccurate information which was published in the media today.
A suspect is in custody for a sexual assault on two women in Vernon. An article stating that the suspect had once been a resident at the now-closed Howard House in Vernon is erroneous. The suspect was never a resident at Howard House.
The suspect is not under the jurisdiction of the Correctional Service of Canada.
