FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ABBOTSFORD, BC, October 20, 2005 - Fraser Valley Institution and its Citizen Advisory Committee are jointly hosting an information/awareness booth at the West Coast Women's Show at the Tradex Trade & Exhibition Centre in Abbotsford from October 21-23.

The federal women's institution wants to increase community awareness of its mandate, programs and objectives, and to enhance community participation in the successful reintegration of women into the community, through housing and job placement opportunities.

Fraser Valley Institution is a federal institution for women located 100 km east of Vancouver on the Matsqui Complex in Abbotsford, currently housing 50 women.
