FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MISSION, BC, November 11, 2006 - Two federal inmates escaped from Ferndale Institution Friday, November 10, 2006. Kenneth Wright and Kalen Cole were discovered missing during the 22:00 hour count.

Wright is a 26-year-old male with blue eyes, blond hair, and fair complexion. He weighs 77 kg (107 lbs) and stands 180 cm (5'11") tall.

He is serving a four year sentence for theft and property crimes. His sentence commenced August 4, 2004.

His full parole eligibility date was June 13, 2006 and his warrant expiry date September 24, 2008.

Cole is a 36-year-old male with brown eyes, brown hair, and fair complexion. He weighs 102 kg (225 lbs) and stands 180 cm (5'11") tall.

He is serving a two year sentence for property crimes. His sentence commenced September 25, 2005.

His full parole eligibility date was May 27, 2006 and his warrant expiry date September 25, 2007.

The RCMP was notified and attended the institution.

Ferndale Institution is a minimum-security institution located in Mission.
