Mission, BC, June 9, 2009 – On Monday, June 8, 2009, at approximately 2300 hours, staff reported Ronald ENMAN was reported missing from Ferndale Institution, a minimum security federal institution.
The RCMP has been notified and the Correctional Service of Canada will continue to work with the police in an effort to locate the offender as quickly as possible.
Ronald ENMAN is a 60 year old male Caucasian with brown hair, green eyes and medium complexion. He is 175 cm (5’9”) tall and weighs approximately 77 kgs (170 lbs). He has the following tattoos; right upper arm – shoulder – skulls; right forearm – cross; left upper arm – skull; and left forearm – knife, devils skull.
Ronald ENMAN is serving a Life sentence having commenced on June 14, 1969 for theft, break and enter, escape lawful custody, theft over, dangerous driving, take MV/vessel without consent, fail to stop at accident, prison breach with intent, second degree murder, forcible confinement, and possession of unregistered restricted weapon.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ronald ENMAN is asked to contact the local RCMP or the Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161.
The Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances surrounding the escape and will take action where necessary.
Ferndale Institution is a minimum-security federal facility operated by the Correctional Service of Canada. It is located just north of Mission and currently houses 137 male offenders.
