FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DRUMHELLER, AB, March 24, 2004 - On Tuesday evening at approximately 7:45 pm an inmate of the medium security Drumheller Institution was found dead in a cell after an apparent assault. The institution was immediately locked down and will remain so while the RCMP conducts a thorough investigation. This investigation is ongoing at the present time.

Until such time as his family is notified, no details are being released concerning the deceased.

Drumheller Institution is located in the town of Drumheller Alberta, approximately 150 kilometers northeast of Calgary.
