FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DEATH AT DRUMHELLER INSTITUTION

DRUMHELLER, AB, November 23, 2004 - On November 19, 2004, at approximately 04:15 hours, an inmate from Drumheller institution died while at a hospital in Calgary, Alberta.

Larry William Harvey was taken to the Drumheller hospital on November 1st, as he was feeling ill. He was later sent to the Calgary hospital where he was receiving treatment for his illness. The cause of death is believed to be from natural causes.

The deceased inmate, Larry William Harvey, 60 years old, was serving a sentence of 7 years and 6 months for robbery, use of a firearm, kidnap/unlawfully confine, possession of property obtained by crime over, fail to attend court, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. His sentence commenced April 20, 2001 and was due to expire on October 19, 2008. The next of kin has been notified.

Drumheller Institution, located in Drumheller, Alberta, was opened in 1967 and provides accommodation for medium-security inmates. It also includes an integrated 72-bed minimum-security facility.
