FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESCAPE FROM PÊ SÂKÂSTÊW CENTRE

HOBBEMA, AB, July 17, 2006 - At approximately 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2006, inmate Rocky Bradley Grey escaped from Pê Sâkâstêw Centre. Police were notified and a warrant for the inmate's arrest was issued.

Grey is 19 years old, serving 2 years for dangerous operation of motor vehicle; possession schedule I substance; possession property of obtained by crime; fail to comply with condition; fail to appear; fail to attend. His sentence commenced December 21, 2005. His warrant expiry date is December 20, 2007. Grey weighs 158 pounds, and is 5'11'' tall. He has a medium complexion with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Grey is asked to contact police.

The Correctional Service of Canada will be conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the escape.

Pê Sâkâstêw Centre is a minimum-security facility in Hobbema, Alberta that accommodates 60 inmates.
