EDMONTON, AB, April 24, 2007 - At Approximately 23:00 during a scheduled count at the Stan Daniels Healing Center on April 23, 2007 it was determined that offender Delbert Patenaude was missing from the premises.
Delbert Patenaude is a 40 year old offender serving a fifteen year sentence for Manslaughter. This is his second federal sentence. He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and brown hair. He is 179 cm tall and weighs 115 kg. Date of birth is 1966.05.07.
The Stan Daniels Healing Center will be working closely with the Edmonton Police Service to apprehend this offender. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Delbert Patenaude is asked to contact the Edmonton City Police.
The Stan Daniels Healing Center is operated by Native Counselling Services of Alberta (NCSA) under section 81 of the Corrections and Conditional Release Act, and is located at 9516-101 Avenue in downtown Edmonton. NCSA provides a range of spiritual and correctional programs to both offenders on conditional release and minimum security inmates.
At the time of the incident there were 20 inmates and 37 conditionally released offenders residing at the Stan Daniels Healing Center.
This incident will be the subject of an internal investigation by the Correctional Service of Canada and Native Counselling Services of Alberta.
