ESCAPE FROM STAN DANIELS HEALING CENTER

EDMONTON, AB, May 22, 2007 - At approximately 2350 during a scheduled count at the Stan Daniels Healing Center on May 21, 2005 it was determined that offender Malofe could not be found in the building.

Jesse Malofe is a 23 year old offender serving a two year sentence for aggravated assault and an offence under the Alberta Vehicle Act. This is his first federal sentence. He is of fair complexion, blue eyes and brown hair. He is 165 cm tall and weighs 79 kgs. Date of birth is 1984.05.11.

The Stan Daniels Healing Center will be working closely with the Edmonton Police Service to apprehend this offender. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of offender Malofe is asked to contact Edmonton City Police.

The Stan Daniels Healing Center is operated by Native Counselling Services of Alberta and is located at 9516-101 Avenue in downtown Edmonton. Native Counselling Services of Alberta provides a range of spiritual and correctional programs to both offenders on conditional release and minimum security inmates through agreement with the federal Minister of Public Safety.

At the time of the incident there were 20 inmates and 34 conditionally released offenders residing at the Stan Daniels Healing Center.

This incident will be subject to an internal investigation by the Correctional Service of Canada and Native Counselling Services of Alberta.
