INNISFAIL, AB, September 17, 2008- On September 16, David Livingston was reported missing from the Bowden Farm Annex, a minimum security facility that is adjacent to the Bowden Institution.
The Innisfail branch of the RCMP have been notified and the Correctional Service of Canada will continue to work with the police in an effort to locate the offender as quickly as possible.
David Livingston is serving an indeterminate life sentence for first degree murder from April 6th, 1984. On January 10th, 2007, while on conditional release, he was convicted for driving while impaired. He was subsequently returned to custody. He is 61 years of age, is 1.8m tall (5'10") and weighs approximately 71 Kg (156 lbs). He has black hair, hazel eyes and is Caucasian. He has a scar over the left eye. He speaks English.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of David Livingston is asked to contact the Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3342.
The Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances surrounding the escape and will take all necessary action.
Bowden Institution is a federal penitentiary located 100 km north of Calgary, currently accommodating 599 medium security and 64 minimum security inmates.
