FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOCKDOWN AT REGIONAL PSYCHIATRIC CENTRE

REGIONAL PSYCHIATRIC CENTRE, Saskatoon, SK- February 13, 2009 – Inmates at Regional Psychiatric Centre (RPC) have been locked down to facilitate a search of the facility.

The lockdown has been place since 6 p.m. February 12, 2009.  The Correctional Service of Canada works to ensure the continued safety and security of the public, staff and patients.

The facility will reopen once institutional management determines that it is safe to do so.
