FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESCAPE FROM RIVERBEND INSTITUTION

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, October 12, 2011 –On October 11, 2011, inmate Joseph NIPPI was discovered missing during Riverbend Institution’s 2130 count. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the police and a warrant has been issued for the inmate’s arrest.

Joseph NIPPI, fifty-two (52), is described as 5’6 in height; his weight is 78 Kg (172 lbs); he has brown eyes and black hair and has a tattoo of a heart on his right hand and his name on his left hand.  He is currently serving a three (3) year sentence for Impaired Driving (x2).

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Joseph NIPPI is asked to contact police.

The Correctional Service of Canada and Riverbend Institution will be conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are working with the police to locate this offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all available information to assist in the inmate’s recapture.
