FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAVAL, QC, February 11, 2004 - On February 10, 2004 around 8:20 P.M., François Côté an inmate at Montée St-François institution died of natural causes at Cité de la Santé hospital in Laval. Montée St-François is a federal minimum security institution.

François Côté, age 43, was sentenced to 23 years 10 months and 4 days on March 31, 1981.

There will be an investigation by the coroner.
