FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAVAL, QC, May 6, 2004 - On May 6, 2004, Camille Jolicoeur, an inmate at Leclerc Institution, a medium-security federal penitentiary, died of natural causes at the Cité de la Santé Hospital in Laval.

Mr. Jolicoeur, 59, was serving a sentence for offences including robbery, breaking and entering, fraud, assault and weapons possession since April 21, 1995.

A coroner's inquest will take place to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
