FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LA MACAZA, Quebec, August 5, 2004 - On August 4, 2004, at 6 a.m., Amos Joseph Atsatata, an inmate at La Macaza Institution, a medium-security federal penitentiary, died of natural causes at an outside hospital after a long illness. The inmate's family has been notified.

Amos Joseph Atsatata, 47 years of age, had been serving a 2-year sentence since January 7, 2003.
