FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAVAL, QC, September 29, 2004 - Montée St François Institution, a federal minimum security penitentiary, will hold an open house on the occasion of its 30t^h anniversary in the institution's gymnasium on Friday, October 1, 2004, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Media representatives are asked to report to the premises at 10:15 a.m. From 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., they may visit:

• a cell block;
• a living unit;
• the programs sector.

Management members will be available to answer questions.

Staff members, former employees who have left their mark on the history of our institution and special guests will also take part in the event starting at 11:00 a.m. Montée St François Institution is located at 1300 Montée St François in Laval.
