FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESCAPE FROM A COMMUNITY CORRECTIONAL CENTRE

MONTRÉAL, QC, November 11, 2004 - An offender on statutory release with a residence requirement failed to return to the community correctional centre in which he was supposed to reside.

On November 10, 2004, Wolfson Ryan was granted statutory release from Donnacona institution and went to the Hochelaga Community Correctional Centre (CCC). On that day, he left the CCC and was supposed to return at 8:00 p.m., but failed to appear.

A warrant was immediately issued for his arrest and the police were notified. Montreal police station 47 was notified and a photo was sent to them.

The Correctional Service of Canada shared with them all of the relevant information that could lead to the apprehension of this individual as quickly as possible.

Wolfson Ryan, aged 33, has been serving a sentence of 6 years and 6 months for attempted murder, assault, and firearms use, since July 12, 2000. He is 165 cm tall and weighs 69 kg. He has brown hair and eyes.

The subject had been identified as a member of Montreal's Rockers criminal biker gang, a Hells Angels farm club.
