JOLIETTE (Quebec), November 23, 2005 - On November 23, 2005, Pascale Gagnon, an inmate of Joliette Institution, a penitentiary for federally-sentenced women, failed to return from an unescorted temporary absence.
Police were notified immediately and the Correctional Service of Canada shared with them all relevant information that could lead to the apprehension of this individual as quickly as possible.
Since December 2, 2002, Pascale Gagnon, 30, has been serving a third federal sentence (5 years, 1 month and 18 days) for robbery, breaking and entering, theft, obstructing a peace officer and fraud. She has a fair complexion, light brown hair and green eyes, stands 165 cm (5'5'') tall and weighs 54 kg (119 lbs).
The Correctional Service of Canada will conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
