FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONTRABAND AT ARCHAMBAULT INSTITUTION
SAINTE ANNE DES PLAINES, QC, January 13, 2006 - At 10:40 p.m. on January 12, 2006, Michel Stinziani, an inmate at Sainte Anne des Plaines Institution, a minimum-security federal penitentiary, died of natural causes at Cité de la Santé de Laval Hospital, at the age of 72.
Stinziani had been serving a 10 year sentence for manslaughter since October 16, 2003.
The coroner and the Correctional Service of Canada will be investigating the circumstances surrounding this death.
