FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
END OF DISTURBANCE AT DRUMMOND INSTITUTION
LAVAL, Quebec, July 14, 2008 - At around 12:00 noon on July 10, 2008, regular activities resumed at Drummond Institution, a medium security penitentiary.
The Institution had been in lock down since July 3 following inmates' refusal to work or take part in programs.
In accordance with routine procedure, the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
