FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEIZURE OF CONTRABAND

Donnacona, Quebec, July 7, 2009 — On the afternoon of July 3, 2009, contraband was seized at Donnacona Institution, a maximum security federal penitentiary. Staff seized 150 eight-milligram pills of Dilaudid, two ecstasy pills and 9.6 g of tobacco.

The contraband was seized from a visitor at the entrance of the institution during a search. The visitor was turned over to the Sûreté du Québec.

The total institutional value of these items is estimated at $15,100.
