FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEIZURE OF CONTRABAND

Drummondville, Quebec, July 13, 2009 — On the afternoon of July 11, 2009, 23 g of marijuana was seized at Drummond Institution, a medium security federal penitentiary.

The contraband was seized when a visitor tried to give the drugs to an inmate. The RCMP was notified, and the matter was turned over to them. The total institutional value of the drugs is estimated at $2,300.
