Performance Standards: The Access to Information Act stipulates that requests must be answered within 30 days, unless time extensions are warranted as per section 9 of the Act. The performance standard for Correctional Service Canada is that a response to Access to Information Act requests be responded to within the legislated time frames, including extensions where warranted.

Performance Results: In fiscal year 2011-2012, CSC received 498 formal access requests under the Access to Information Act. The compliance rate for fiscal year 2011-2012 was 77%.
