45. It is recommended that there always be a staff member trained in crisis negotiation in the institution.

CSC'S RESPONSE:

All CSC institutions maintain a number of fully trained crisis negotiators as defined by individual, sit-specific contingency plans. Crisis negotiators are available for recall to the institution if their services are deemed to be required by the crisis manager. While response time of the negotiators will vary, generally such will be less than forty-five minutes.
