CAC Awareness Week 2009

COMMISSIONER’S MESSAGE

As Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) Awareness Week is now upon us, I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank each and every CAC member for the contribution you make to Canada’s public safety.

I am always very impressed by the hard work and dedication you display on a daily basis, and I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with the National Executive Committee on two occasions this past year.

Each year, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) designates a week to recognize and raise awareness about the important work done by the more than 500 CAC members in 97 different communities across Canada. This year, CAC Awareness Week takes place from October 18-24.

It has been a busy year, and I know CSC can count on you for advice, guidance, and insight as new initiatives and programs are implemented as a result of the Transformation Agenda.

Your work contributes not only to this organization, but to the quality of life of every citizen across Canada. And on behalf of communities from coast-to-coast, I thank you.
