Reimbursement of CAC expenses

As announced on November 14, 2009, CSC management has established a consistent approach to Citizen Advisory Committee members' reimbursement for expenses incurred while volunteering time and energy to the Service.

In order to bring consistency in national practice, effective immediately all CAC members will be reimbursed exclusively for their mileage expenses associated with:

1. attendance at their monthly CAC meeting
2. specific requests to attend/observe incidents at institutions

The contribution each CAC member makes is essential for CSC to effectively deliver on its mandate to enhance public safety.
