Grande Cache Institution is a minimum-security facility, located roughly 445 km west of Edmonton, Alberta. It opened in 1995 and can accommodate up to 243 inmates.
Inmates are housed in 13 living units.
The Institution offers general and vocational education, as well as personal and interpersonal development programs, such as anger management and the Offender Substance Abuse Pre-Release Program. Programs oriented for Aboriginal offenders are also available.
