Kingston Penitentiary is a maximum security facility located on King Street in Kingston, Ontario. The Penitentiary opened in 1835 and can accommodate up to 421 inmates.

Inmates are housed in four units.

The Penitentiary provides personal development programs and programs for general, professional, industrial and technical training. Special attention is given to living skills, substance abuse and basic training programs.
