About the Institution

The Shepody Healing Centre is one of five regional treatment centres operated by CSC and is multiple-security. It opened in 2001 and can accommodate up to 52 offenders.

The Shepody Healing Centre has two 20-bed psychiatric units, and 10 transition beds located within Dorchester Penitentiary.

The Centre provides in-patient, out-patient emergency, as well as consultative services to other facilities within the Atlantic Region.
