the Institution
Springhill Institution is a medium-security facility, located on a plateau overlooking the town of Springhill, Nova Scotia. It
opened in 1967 and can accommodate 448 offenders.
The facility also has the responsibility of operating a reception centre for the Atlantic region.
The main programs at the institution include: living skills, sex offender programs and substance abuse treatment.
