Lloyd Withers (right), gave the presentation to 1,026 offenders during the 18-month project.
In 2003 the Canadian Families and Corrections Network (CFCN) received a Contribution from the Correctional Service of Canada for a two-year demonstration project at Millhaven Assessment Unit (MAU) in the Ontario Region. The project used a restorative justice approach in which a Coordinator of Family Support provided information and referral service to families of offenders from the point at which the offender enters "the system".
