The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has worked with Australia, New Zealand and Timor Leste, in helping to improve their current correctional systems. A CSC expert completed a review tour of New Zealand facilities in the fall of 2004 with the objective of offering assistance in improving the design of specific units for women, Aboriginal, and self-care offenders. The CSC assisted in a needs assessment mission to the Timor Leste Prison Service in 2002.
Relations with these countries are positive and ongoing.
