Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice (CIAJ)
The Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice is a voluntary, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of justice for all Canadians. CIAJ is a place of meeting and reasoned debate on issues of interest to people and organizations concerned with the administration of justice.
Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)
The Canadian International Development Agency has the expressed mandate to provide assistance to help developing countries achieve sustainable development and so to contribute to international stability and peace. CIDA often plays an important role in financing the technical assistance and reconstruction missions that CSC is regularly requested to participate in.
Department of Justice Canada, International Cooperation Group
Through its International Cooperation Group, the Department of Justice has been helping countries reform their justice systems since 1990.
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT)
Part of the mandate of DFAIT is to maintain international peace and prevent violent conflict. The department does this through a range of initiatives, including collective security and defence arrangements, the human security program and conflict prevention, human rights promotion and peacebuilding activities. The department is also actively involved in fostering the development of international law in order to promote and defend Canadian interests.
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, Centre for Intercultural Learning
The Centre for Intercultural Learning helps individuals and organizations develop the intercultural competencies essential for international operational success. Areas of focus are: the pace of adaptation to culture, the enhancement of performance, and the management of culture shock.
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, Human Security Program (HSP)
The Human Security Program is one of DFAIT's proactive mechanisms for addressing the human dimensions of globalisation. The Program invests strategically in initiatives that strengthen the ability of the global community to respond to threats to Human Security and support peaceful governance. Since its inception in June 2000, the Human Security Program has supported over 300 projects on 5 different continents.
Royal Canadian Mountain Police (RCMP)
The RCMP Civilian Police Peacekeeping Operations manages the effective and timely participation of Canadian civilian police in international peacekeeping activities.
