Selection Criteria
The award is granted each year to the nominee who best exemplifies the following criteria:

• The individual is an active, visible participant in her or his workplace
• Is viewed by peers as someone who shows maturity, good judgement, effective communication, innovation, creativity and teamwork.
• The individual leads by example and strives for excellence while respecting and accommodating the needs, values and aspirations of others.
• The individual's relationship with her/his peers is characterized by openness, mutual respect and trust.
