Sweden

In October 2000, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) agreed to assist the Swedish Probation and Prison Administration in implementing a new program entitled the "Offender Substance Abuse Pre-release Program" (OSAPP). CSC provided base training to program delivery staff as well as management training on the program's theoretical model and evaluation results, program implementation and management, the program's standards and the certification process for program leaders, and assistance and training on the program accreditation process to ensure program integrity and quality assurance. Several training sessions have taken place since.

Sweden has requested training on the High Intensity Violence Prevention Program to be delivered by CSC officials in March 2007.
