END TO LOCKDOWN - COLLINS BAY INSTITUTION

KINGSTON, ONTARIO, August 17, 2011 – The lockdown at Collins Bay Institution initiated on Monday, August 15, 2011 has concluded. The institution has returned to normal operations.

Visits to the Institution have been re-instated.

CSC works to ensure the continued safety and security of the public, staff and inmates. An exceptional search was conducted as a proactive measure to maintain a safe environment within the institution.
