Mental Health Symposium - Advancing Solutions to Offender Mental Health
May 21 and 22, 2008

CSC held a Symposium on Advancing Solutions to Offender Mental Health Issues on May 21 and 22 in Ottawa. The participants of this meeting examined practical solutions for improving our mental health services from outside CSC, including several international guests. We organized this symposium in direct response to Recommendation 56 from the CSC Review Panel to consult with other correctional jurisdictions on their "best practices" related to the assessment and treatment of offenders in mental health treatment centres.
