Chris Price

Chris Price was appointed Assistant Commissioner Correctional Operations and Programs on November 28, 2008.

Chris began his career with CSC in 1984, working as a Social Cultural Development Officer at Millhaven Institution. Between 1984 and 1995, his time was divided between Millhaven and Joyceville Institutions. There, he held a series of positions such as Case Management Officer, inmate employment coordinator, Acting Chief of Social Development, Chief of Education and Training, Acting Assistant Warden Correctional Programs, Acting Assistant Warden Management Services and Unit Manager.

In 1996 Chris headed for the Prairies, to serve as Deputy Warden for Stony Mountain Institution. It wasn’t long before he was appointed as Warden for Edmonton Institution in 1998.

In 2003 he accepted the role of Assistant Deputy Commissioner Operations at Regional Headquarters in the Prairies, before joining NHQ in 2004 as Director of Operations in Security. Since 2006, he held the position of Director General of Security.

Chris was actively involved in the CSC Transformation Agenda from January to November 2008, heading up the security files and leading the Team for a period of time.
