As outlined in Figure 14, the number of notifications was relatively stable prior to implementation (15,363 notifications in 2004, 16, 818 in 2005 and 15, 608 in 2006). However, following the implementation of the NVSP between 2006 and 2008, there was a 220% increase in the number of notifications (24, 823 in 2007 and 49, 973 in 2008). Furthermore, this increase is projected to reach 352% at the end of the 2009-2010 fiscal year (70,505 victim notifications).
