Figure 2 represents offenders' probability of failing on conditional release. During the first year on conditional release, 23% of offenders with victim notification were unsuccessful versus 34% of the general offender population. After two years on conditional release 35% of offenders with notification were unsuccessful in contrast to 43% of the offender population. After three years, 42% of offenders with victim notification were unsuccessful versus 48% of the offender population. In the forth year of conditional release, percentages were 46% and 54%, respectively. At the end of the 5-year time frame, 49% of offenders with victim notification were unsuccessful while on conditional release in contrast to 54% for the population of offenders. Offenders with victim notification are more likely to be successful in the community following release.
