57. It is recommended that special assignments that take the Warden away from the institution be limited.

CSC'S RESPONSE:

CSC does encourage its Wardens to spend as much time within their institutions as possible. However, these senior officials also participate on various task forces and working groups tasked with examining various aspects of CSC operations. Their experience and insight into operations makes them a needed and valuable resource for these assignments. These assignments are not, however, long term assignments and do not interfere with the management of the institution.
