Professional Excellence Award

A Professional Excellence Award was presented to A.W. Smith of the Peterborough Area Parole Office on June 3. Smith was recognized for his outstanding achievement in community corrections spanning more than 30 years of public service. The award was signed by Commissioner Lucie McClung and reads, "For your outstanding performance, while upholding the Mission and the Values of the Correctional Service of Canada and by consistently emulating an air of professionalism and dedication throughout your career."

The presentation was made by Deputy Commissioner, Ontario Region, Nancy Stableforth and Monty Bourke, District Director, Eastern and Northern District Parole and Nunavut Territory at the Regional Management Committee Meeting at Westlake Hall, Kingston, Ontario.
