Why was the policy changed?
The Women Offender Sector revised CD 577 in response to staff concerns regarding the wording of paragraph 10.c).
What has changed?
The paragraph was revised to clarify its intent while balancing the legitimate interests of everyone concerned and to remove the reference to "potential exposure to nudity".
How was it developed?
The Women Offender Sector consulted with the wardens of the women offender institutions and discussed it with representatives of UCCO-SACC-CSN.
Accountabilities?
All staff working in women offender institutions have the responsibility to conduct themselves in accordance with this directive.
